Heater problem? Help

Postby ravcon » Thu Oct 01, 2015 6:59 pm

Hi all. Ive got an issue with my heater. When i crank it up so the blowers come.on it make an unbearable grinding/crunching sound. Which comes from under the glove box. (Not sure what it is but ill attach a photo) anyone know what this may be?

Cheers

You have one fan for heating/cooling the inside of the car and it is fitted under the dash close to the glovebox , sounds like yours is knackered or has something stuck in it . You need to undo 3 Phillips screws on the blower in the passenger footwell and it drops down , they can have leaves and other debris stuck in the blades .If its completely worn out you can pick up used ones quite cheap but new Valeo ones are £60 or so going by the last new one I saw sell on E-bay .
